I’ve been playing guitar my whole life, lately on the on-again-off-again basis. the reason I’m not as consumed by playing anymore is because guitar is a very specific instrument with, dare I say, limited applicability, so it kind of took a backseat when my musical tastes broadened. and then I lacked talent to expand on playing styles accordingly.
I realized that whatever I played stopped being interesting to me; whatever I thought was fun and wanted to express, I couldn’t play.
